$1 Billion Family Home: the Antilia House-Ambani

MOST EXPENSIVE HOUSE IN THE WORLD – Chithra
Mukesh Ambani’s $1 billion home is located in Mumbai, India and is called the Antilia house.
The home contains a health club with a gym and dance studio, a swimming pool, a ballroom, guestrooms, a variety of lounges, and a 50-seater cinema. Three helicopter pads have been installed on the roof, and a car park for 160 vehicles sits on the ground floor.

The most striking features of the  Antilla which caught my eye is probably the ballroom which has crystal chandeliers that take up approximately 80% of the ceiling.

The $1 billion family home built for the world’s forth richest man Mukesh Ambani, his wife and three children, is said to be the greenest of all buildings. Ambani family has employed a staff of 600 to tend to the home.

How many cars do u have to have 6 floors of parking? I'll tell you how many cars he has...168 imported cars !

Antilla, has consumed electricity worth Rs. 70,69,488 in the one month since Mukesh Ambani moved in with wife Nita and their three children. It is the Mumbai’s highest residential electricity bill generated till date.

Lounges, fine rugs, chandeliers and mirrors can be seen at any room.

DINNING ROOM    There is also a stage for entertainment or speeches, with a projection screen behind it.
A kitchen, about the same size as the ballroom itself, can service hundreds of guests, an Olympic-size swimming pool and a four-storey open garden.

It has silver stairways that lead to a central landing, behind which two retractable doors can open to display works of art.

Other floors have gyms and glass-fronted apartments for guests.

According to Inhabitat the Antilia is ”boasting 27 stories at 568 feet high, with a total area of over 398,000 square feet of living space. The building, which has taken nearly three years to complete, hosts 27-stories, which are far from modest.

The two floors above the family’s residence have been set aside as maintenance areas and for an “air space floor” capable of accommodating three helicopters.
BY the way, It’s entirely
   made of  Glass.

Antilia is named after the mythical island in the Atlantic. The construction is inspired by the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

Each floor are designed with various materials so as to bring a different look
